1. WHEREAS, the Student Government Association (SGA) represents the student body; and,

2. WHEREAS, the Student Government Association (SGA) constantly strives to be a resource for the student body; and,

3. WHEREAS, a Freshman Taskforce was created and under the direction of the Freshman Legislators explicitly for the creation of a booklet to be distributed to incoming freshmen; and,

4. WHEREAS, the booklet is a resource for students by students with all of the information that incoming freshmen should know but that is not necessarily available online; and,

5. WHEREAS, this booklet will be distributed to all incoming freshmen during orientation; and,

6. WHEREAS, the book is a 5.5 by 8.5 booklet held together by plastic binding and will be around sixty (60) pages long.

7. WHERAS, the text and graphics will be black and white while the front and back cover of the booklet will be a glossy, thicker paper with a colored graphic on both; and,

8. WHEREAS, the cost of one prototype booklet is approximately $17.50; and,

9. WHEREAS, it will cost approximately $8,200.00 to print all of the booklets; and,

10. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that $8,200.00 be allocated to fund the costs associated with producing the informational booklet; and,

11. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any unused funds be returned to SGA Legislative Reserves.
