An Act Regarding Department Funding
As is stands, departments have no financial reserves to support initiatives either independently created or passed down via the legislature. If the departments wish to host events, they presently must pass potentially redundant and stalling legislation allocating money to particular services. This will provide departments with the right to their own reserves, to be used to fulfill their constitutional responsibilities. The structure of Department Reserves is modeled directly after the structure of existing Committee Reserves.

A Resolution Supporting A Change in Policy Regarding Exemption From the Course ENGL101
As CORE is being changed this is an excellent time to change the requirement for ENGL101 exemption. The Writing portion of the SAT has been ignored by the school, but is designed to test the writing abilities of students, which makes it a better fit for ENGL101 than Reading, which is more about reading comprehension and vocabulary than sentence structure, grammar usage, and argument structure. It would also provide incentive for students to do well on the Writing SAT. This supports changing the policy on exemption, but not the score achieved by the student.
